Mission Statement
We want every youth in Lorette to thrive and find community and purpose!
A big focus we have at The Cove is building relationships. We want to know the name of every kid who comes through the door. We believe that it is only through real relationships that we can speak into the lives of youth and help them thrive.

Staff
We have a dedicated group of volunteer staff that help out during our open hours. We aim to have at least 2 staff at the drop-in whenever we are open. Every staff member and volunteer is required to have a clear background check with the RCMP.

I believe that both your life and mine are precious and I want to live like it! Let’s go!

Co-Director
I love to dream big, and then do it! I also love building real relationships. As Red Green says, “I’m pulling for you, we’re all in this together!”
History
We first had the idea to open a drop-in center in Lorette in 2019. We talked with leaders in the community and it seemed like there was widespread support for the idea. Most people recognized that there was a big need for this kind of resource for the youth of Lorette. After much thought and prayer, we started looking for possible locations. Covid-19 stopped us in our tracks and we put the project on pause until 2021 when we started looking at our current building, which was for sale at the time. Through a series of events that we believe were blessed and guided by God, we were able to get the building, fully renovate it, and we opened our doors in August of 2022. The response from the youth and parents in Lorette has been overwhelmingly positive and we have enjoyed building relationships with many youth so far!
Donations
The Cove is funded almost entirely by private donations. We have received a few government grants, but the lion’s share of our funding comes from individuals who believe in what we are doing and want to support us.
If you have vision to partner with us financially, here’s a few ways you can donate. As we are part of a registered charity, we can issue donation receipts.
